Stacey Gaines will join Millsaps College as the new vice president of marketing and communications, effective June 1.
Gaines brings a wealth of experience and familiarity with our state and region to Millsaps. She has served as the senior art director for the GodwinGroup advertising agency, in several leadership roles with Mississippi Development Authority and most recently as the director of marketing and communication at HORNE, a national professional services firm and Top 50 Accounting Firm.
At HORNE, Gaines oversaw both a major rebranding effort and the expansion of the marketing team to take the firm’s in-house support to serve external clients, including private companies and government agencies.
“I could not be more excited to welcome Stacey to Millsaps College’s leadership team,” said Keith Dunn, incoming interim president. “Her professional experience in digital marketing and branding will help us more effectively reach our target audiences and tell the Millsaps story. And her strong ties to Jackson and Mississippi will ensure the college’s commitment to ‘shaping the social, economic and cultural progress of our region’ remains front and center in our marketing and communication efforts.”
“I look forward to being on this team and playing a part in the success of Millsaps,” said Gaines. “This is an excellent opportunity to use my knowledge and experience to tell the Millsaps story to a wide variety of audiences.”
