POSITION DESCRIPTION: Project Manager, ACS Programs & Communities
Founded in 1991, the Associated Colleges of the South (ACS) is a consortium of fifteen nationally recognized colleges and universities committed to providing excellent and accessible liberal arts education. ACS strengthens and advances residential liberal arts education through connection and collaboration, leadership development programs, diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, and by administering grants to support collaborative curricula and innovative instruction practices.
ACS is a collegial work environment of team-oriented self-starters. We are looking for a full-time staff member to coordinate our programs and activities for faculty and staff, including virtual community groups, workshops and professional development series, and summer working groups and in-person training institutes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinates and provides project management support for a variety of ACS projects, which may involve financial administration, compiling and reviewing metrics, and leveraging technology for virtual collaboration.
- Manages program and workshop registration, supports and manages presenters and facilitators, and provides facilitation and technical assistance as needed.
- Coordinates community groups of ACS colleagues in various roles, ensuring welcome and orientation of new members, meeting scheduling, and facilitation as needed.
- Develops and maintains participant lists and reports for ACS faculty and staff programs.
- Communicates with and addresses questions from member campus faculty and staff.
- Develops and manages project timelines.
- Works closely with project team/departments to identify and resolve concerns.
- Assumes responsibility for timely delivery of project deliverables as scheduled.
- Designs presentations in support of ACS needs.
- Tracks program budgets and forecasts future budget needs.
- May plan and coordinates special events.
- May maintain and update the departmental website.
- Performs other related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and five years project planning or related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Proficiency with Word, Zoom, and Excel.
