Dr. Mimi Hanaoka is Chair of the Department of Religious Studies. Her research focuses on Islam, claims to religious authority, Muslim identity, and connections between Muslim reformers in East Asia, South Asia, and West Asia.
Fellowship Project: Partner with stakeholders on and off campus to develop foundational programs for first and second year students at the intersection of humanities and career development that are informed by institutional goals.
