Claire Revels Shapiro, chief human resources officer at Rhodes College, attended the signature event of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM)-Memphis held at the Museum of Science & History on Nov. 15.
She was among the nominees for the organization’s 2022 HR Excellence Awards, which recognizes individuals and organizations from the Greater Memphis area that have displayed excellence in the human resources career field.
Shapiro has been with Rhodes since 1994 working with faculty, staff, and students and helping move the college’s strategic initiatives forward. She also is the college’s deputy Title IX officer.
A Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), Shapiro also holds the Senior Professional in Human Resources® (SPHR®) Certification issued by HRCI and the SHRM Senior Certified Professional Credential issued by the Society for Human Resource Management.
Active in the community, Shapiro is president of the Memphis Business Group on Health, chair of the personnel advisory commission for the City of Germantown, and a board member of the Germantown Performing Arts Center.
